Kramskoy Ivan Nikolaevich
(1837 - 1887). The Peredvizhnik.
One of best painters of Russia of the second half of the 19th century, a remarkable art critic and theoretician of art, a talented teacher. The outstanding public figure. The ideological leader and main organizer of the Itinerants’ Society of Traveling Exhibitions (the Peredvizhniki), which had played an important part in the development of art in Russia.
Kuindzhi Arkhip Ivanovich. (1841-1910). The Peredvizhnik. Kuindzhi named the singer of open spaces and light. It has returned to a landscape enthusiastic feeling of beauty and extraordinariness of the world. «Illusion of light was its god, and there was no the artist equal to it in achievement of this miracle of painting. Kuindzhi - the artist of light», - wrote Repin.
Levitan Isaac Ilich. (1861-1900). The Peredvizhnik. Levitan «felt that lives in the nature and praises the Founder; heard the sensitive ear as heart of the nature» (Benua) fights. Disclosing of «secret secret» in the nature, its big spiritual maintenance was Levitan's constant aspiration on all extent of its short creative life.
Perov Vasily Grigorievich.
(1834 - 1882). The Peredvizhnik.
One of the organizers of the Itinerants’ Society of Travelling Art Exhibitions (the Peredvizhniki). His creativity was by a push for development of critical realism in Russian painting. In his products the features of Russian critical realism by this time were brightly showed. The mature foreman of a household genre and deep psychologist, Perov acts in a line of cases both as thin painter and as the author of outstanding portraits.
Polenov Vasily Dmitrievich. (1844-1927).
The Peredvizhnik. Polenov was the bright versatile artist with the broad audience of creative interests. Its landscapes are filled by the truth, thin musical lyricism and the most graceful technics. But it considered as «the main work of the life a series «From a life of the Christ».
Repin Ilya Efimovich.
(1844-1930). The Peredvizhnik. Has connected strong tradition of realism of 19 centuries to innovations of a boundary of centuries, having won glory the cloths excited public consciousness. The virtuoso different the art, Repin has proved and as the high-gifted teacher.
Savrasov Alexey Kondratyevich. (1830-1897). The Peredvizhnik.

Serov Valentin Aleksandrovich.

Having begun the creative way as the Peredvizhnik, Serov went from naturalism to reserve of art language through impressionism, "Mir iskusstva", modernist style, and in many respects has determined art shape of the time.
Shishkin Ivan Ivanovich. (1832-1898).
The Peredvizhnik. Not only one of the largest, but also hardly probable not the most popular among Russian landscape writers. In it I.K.Aivazovsky can compete to it only. Shishkin knew Russian nature in «the scientific image» (I.N. Kramskoy) and loved it with all force of the mighty nature.
Surikov Vasily Ivanovich. (1848-1916).
The Peredvizhnik. Surikov has become history of Russian art first of all as the historical painter. In the products it has shown history, «done and movable by people».
Vasnetsov Victor Mihajlovich.
(1848-1926). The Peredvizhnik.
In the first period of the creativity follows principles a socially-critical genre of the Peredvizhniki. Subsequently, addressing to themes of folklore mythology, considerably reforms Russian historical genre. Its «epic» creativity brightly expresses «new Russian style».
